On December 31, 2019 HUD announced more than $79 million in Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) grants to nearly 700 public housing authorities nationwide. FSS grants help public housing authorities hire service coordinators who connect public housing residents with local programs and services with the goal of increasing residents’ earnings and decreasing their dependencies on public assistance.
57 CLPHA members received awards totaling more than $17.3 million. Congratulations to all CLPHA members who received FSS grants!
