Vancouver Housing Authority recently opened a new housing complex called Miles Terrace for low-income seniors age 55 and older. The four-story, 69-unit building located in downtown Vancouver, Wash., features studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments.

Vancouver HA to develop affordable housing in Washougal

The Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) will soon help Washougal grow its inventory of affordable housing.
The VHA has purchased two parcels of land in downtown Washougal and plans to construct workforce-housing complexes — typically defined as housing that is affordable for people earning 60 to 120 percent of an area’s median income — over the next several years.
Fairfax County supervisors approve more than $33M for affordable housing development (Fairfax County RHA)

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved $33.3 million to acquire roughly four acres in Tyson’s urban center to support the development of 450 affordable housing units by SCG Development Partners, LLC.
According to a news release, the units will be a combination of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments and include about 5,000 square feet of community space. Households at 40-70 percent of Area Median Income (AMI) will qualify for the units
DigitalC and Facebook parent company offer broadband to 1,000 Clevelanders in public housing (Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority)

More than 1,000 Cleveland residents living in public housing have gained access to high-speed, low-cost broadband internet connection.
The project is a partnership between nonprofit DigitalC and Facebook parent company Meta. It is part of DigitalC’s EmpowerCLE+ service, which offers internet speed of up to 50 mbps at $18 per month.
Cincinnati MHA completes preservation of Park Eden apartments, provides affordable housing

The Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority has completed the preservation of Park Eden.
The CMHA says the renovation includes 176 modernized units, new building systems, and a mural created in partnership with ArtWorks.
The redevelopment generated close to $36 million.
