Staten Island’s ‘West Brighton’ NYCHA Complex To Receive $100M In Facility Upgrades

The New York City Housing Authority has partnered with BFC Partners, CB Emmanuel Realty, and non-profit organization Catholic Homes New York to complete $100 million in capital improvements at the West Brighton residential campus in Staten Island. Known formally as West Brighton I and II, the scope of work will impact more than 1,400 residents or 574 apartments spread across 14 buildings.

Lucas Metropolitan Housing, in partnership with the Local Initiative Support Corporation, announced Friday the launch of its first-ever Financial Opportunity Center.

The purpose of the FOC is to help residents build credit, grow assets and pursue career goals. LMH is the first public housing authority in Ohio to embed FOC services into its operations on behalf of residents.

The city of Sacramento is breaking ground on a new housing development for people transitioning out of homelessness.

It's called Northview Pointe and it's located in North Sacramento, off Northgate Boulevard near Garden Highway.

Set to open summer 2024, Northview Pointe will eventually be able to house about 100 people. It will include wraparound services to support people as they transition out of homelessness.
