The city and Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority intend to team up to pursue federal funding that would replace antiquated housing and revitalize an East Side neighborhood.
The project would involve a six-year, $35-million Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Thousands of children in Chicago now have new winter coats, just in time for the upcoming cold months.
The Chicago Housing Authority held its 12th annual "Operation Warm Coat" at the UIC Forum on Saturday.
Operation Warm, a national nonprofit, donated 7,500 coats for children living in public housing.
Free flu shots were also available at the event.

As National Digital Inclusion Week gets underway, the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) announced it has been selected as a 2019 ConnectHomeUSA Cohort that allows public housing authorities to access high-quality internet and other resources aimed at closing the digital divide.
