Next up for River & Rich development in Franklinton: a 12-story tower (Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority)

From The Columbus Dispatch:

Developers are moving forward on the second phase of the River & Rich project in Franklinton: an office and apartment tower overlooking the Scioto River.

The phase would include three portions: a 12-story tower with 180 apartments and 48,000 square feet of office space; a four-story apartment building; and a 288-car, three-story parking garage. All would be built on an empty field on the west side of McDowell Street across from the first phase of River & Rich, which opened late last year with 233 apartments.

“We’re very pleased with the lease-up to date at River & Rich,” said Brent Sobczak, president of Casto Communities, a partner in the project. “We’re approaching full occupancy. That has given us confidence to move ahead on phase two.”

Casto is developing the second phase with the same partners that built the first one: the Robert Weiler Company, Kelley Companies, Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority and Smoot Construction.
