The Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) and CommUnityCare Health Centers celebrated the grand opening of the CommUnityCare Chalmers Courts Health Center, a federally designated community health center adjacent to Pathways at Chalmers Courts East apartment community, a recently redeveloped HACA property serving low-income families in East Austin.

Made possible by a $3.7 million grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration, this mobile unit will serve six counties in the Triad – Alamance, Caswell, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham.

From rural to urban communities, the focus is to get healthcare to those who need it most for UNC Greensboro and Cone Health.
