CLPHA, Industry Groups Urge HUD to Streamline Regulations

CLPHA, NAHRO, PHADA, and the MTW Collaborative are calling for HUD to streamline regulatory measures that will enhance PHAs’ ability to serve their communities. In a letter to HUD Secretary Scott Turner, the groups recommended easing the burdens of cross-cutting programs, expanding local flexibilities, streamlining rental assistance programs, and improvements to other programs.

House Republicans Release Funding Bill to Keep the Government Open
House Republicans released a stopgap funding bill called a continuing resolution (CR) this weekend to prevent a government shutdown and fund federal agencies through September 30. The House is expected to vote on the bill as early as tomorrow. Current funding for the federal government ends on March 14, 2025.
