San Antonio’s Historic Design and Review Commission gave conceptual approval to the San Antonio Housing Authority’s (SAHA) proposed 216-unit mixed income community near the Lavaca neighborhood. The complex will be built on the former site of SAHA’s Victoria Courts community at a cost of $45.6 million.
The City of Sacramento and the Sacramento Housing & Redevelopment Agency (SHRA) received a big boost in the planned $310 million revitalization of its Twin Rivers housing project into a modern, mixed-income community. The California Strategic Growth Council awarded a $23 million grant to the project, most of which will go towards a state-of-the-art light rail station adjacent to the community.
The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) helped 21 low-income families purchase homes in 2018 through HACP’s Homeownership Program. The number of families assisted increased from 16 in 2017.
