On January 27 HUD announced their selection of agencies for Cohort 3 of MTW expansion. Cohort 3 consists of mid and large-sized PHAs and will be charged with evaluating landlord incentives and their impact on participation in the Housing Choice Voucher program.
CLPHA congratulates our two members who were selected for the cohort, the Yakima Housing Authority and the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City! We look forward to seeing how they will use these incentives to benefit their voucher holders.
Congress authorized the expansion of MTW to an additional 100 agencies under the 2016 Consolidated Appropriations Act. In 2021, the MTW Collaborative welcomed 41 new agencies into MTW through Cohorts 1 and 2 of MTW expansion.
