CLPHA Director of Cross-Sector Initiatives Abra Lyons Warren Joins the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading’s Learning Happens Everywhere Initiative

CLPHA Director of Cross-Sector Initiatives Abra Lyons-Warren has been invited to join the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading (CGLR)’s Learning Happens Everywhere initiative, an effort to encourage coalitions across the nation to position learning as a community-wide responsibility and to transform non-school places and spaces into learning-rich opportunities for children in economically challenged families. CGLR intends to create a resource hub that will help to raise awareness and disseminate lessons from initiatives and projects already underway, support efforts to create more such learning-rich environments, and align and link these efforts into community-wide opportunity-to-learn systems.

CLPHA congratulates Abra on this appointment that will give her the opportunity to highlight the critical role PHAs play in providing non-school places and spaces for low-income children to learn and thrive.
