Atlanta Housing and Partners Connect Seniors to COVID-19 Vaccinations

Atlanta Housing (AH) partnered with the Family Health Centers of Georgia to vaccinate 118 AH residents Friday, Feb 19. AH provided transportation using social distancing, masks and sanitation per CDC guidelines. Additional vaccinations will occur as AH development partners provide onsite clinics for eligible residents.
Mobile COVID-19 vaccination event targets Cherry Hill seniors (Housing Authority of Baltimore City)

Moore is one of more than 80 Cherry Hill Homes residents ages 65 years or older who got their first COVID-19 vaccine dose Tuesday.
"It wasn’t bad at all," said Gloria Harris.
The Housing Authority of Baltimore City partnered with the Baltimore City Health Department and MedStar Health, using their mobile clinic to break down any accessibility barriers.

Yonkers Begins to Get Vaccinated (Municipal Housing Authority for the City of Yonkers)

Progress is being made in the efforts to vaccinate Yonkers residents and residents throughout Westchester, with the COVID-19 vaccine. Pictured avbove is Eduviges Aquinio, a resident of Flynn Manor, was the first senior to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The Municipal Housing Authority for the City of Yonkers (MHACY) held a special vaccination program on February 4th for seniors who reside at MHACY properties. The program, which was held at the Nodine Hill Community Center, vaccinated more than 250 seniors.

Mecklenburg County to start pop-up vaccine clinics in underserved communities as vaccine supply goes up (INLIVIAN)

Minority and underserved communities were hit the hardest by COVID-19 throughout this pandemic. When a vaccine was created, there were questions about whether our underserved communities would have equal access to it.
The Mecklenburg County Health Department is working to make sure that happens.
Currently, county health officials are only giving the vaccine out at Bojangles Coliseum.
