Spectrum contributes $50K to Cuyahoga MHA's Lakeview Terrace Community Center

 Spectrum employees in Northeast Ohio volunteered to show their support for the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. 

They gathered today in Cleveland for Spectrum's announcement that the company will contribute $50,000 to CMHA's Lakeview Terrace Community Center.

Volunteers helped set up the new Spectrum Technology and Training Workspace. They also took part in landscaping activities.

The Bank of America Foundation, Bezos Earth Fund, and New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation all made a major commitment to alleviating climate risks in the Hudson Valley region by sponsoring a neighborhood-centered, solution-based climate resiliency initiative in the environmental justice community of Southwest Yonkers. This marks a historic series of public-private partnerships for Groundwork Hudson Valley.

Homekey projects in Santa Cruz, Santa Clara counties receiving funding boost from state (Santa Clara County Housing Authority)

State leaders announced two major Project Homekey sites have been awarded millions of dollars in funding to help with homeless housing in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.

The Santa Cruz County site, located along Park Avenue in Soquel, received $10.4 million from the state Department of Housing and Community Development and the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency.

San Diego to give cash to seniors, others to help with rent (San Diego Housing Commission)

Up to $500 a month in rental relief could soon be available for San Diegans at risk of homelessness.

The San Diego City Council voted Monday to include the Housing Stability Fund in the city’s $5 billion fiscal year 2023 budget.

The pilot project has enough money to cover 300 households for the next two years and is slated to help seniors, those with disabilities, families with kids and transitional youth, regardless of immigration status.

Cambridge Housing Authority Workforce Program gets a $100,000 boost from Cummings as it works to broaden support

The Cambridge Housing Authority’s Workforce Program that helps youths living in public housing prepare for college or a career has received a $100,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation. The grant, to be distributed over two years, will support the program while government aid has dwindled.

Boston Public Library unveils long-term borrowing program for Wi-Fi routers and Chromebooks (Boston Housing Authority)

The Boston Public Library’s new long-term borrowing program is working to ensure Boston residents have access to online educational materials.

Boston residents can now access free Wi-Fi routers and Chromebooks through the library. Participants must be adult residents who do not otherwise have access to “equipment or services sufficient to meet their educational needs” according to a statement from the Boston Public Library.
