In 2021, the housing authority changed its name to HOME amid its decade-long, nearly $2 billion revitalization of its housing complexes. It is governed by a five-member board appointed by the mayor. The members are Eileen Karlsruher, chair, Anna Perez, Rob Anderson, Rick Porras and Yadira Beltran.
HOME, or Housing Opportunity Management Enterprises, provides affordable housing to 52,000 El Pasoans through several programs, including public housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Section 8 program.
