FY22 Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grants NOFO

On May 10, HUD announced the FY22 Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Thanks to increased appropriations from Congress, this year HUD has doubled the allocation for Planning Grants to $10,000,000. Planning Grants are two-year grants up to $500,000 each that assist communities with severely distressed public or HUD-assisted housing in developing a successful neighborhood transformation plan and carrying out early action activities to build the support necessary for that plan to be successfully implemented. In FY 21, HUD PIH shared they received less than the anticipated number of applications.

CLPHA encourages its members to take advantage of the increased resources dedicated to the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative (CNI). CLPHA continues to advocate for funding of at least $500 million in FY23 for CNI in its 2022 Legislative Priorities.

Applications are due on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
