Last week, CLPHA’s virtual Summer Meeting opened with an acknowledgment from CLPHA Board President Stephen Norman of Tacoma Housing Authority Executive Director Michael Mirra and his impact on CLPHA, Tacoma, and the public housing industry upon Michael’s coming retirement. We were also honored to hear inspiring, poignant remarks from Michael reflecting on his career at THA, his views on both the current state and the future of the public housing industry, and why the work public housing authorities do matters for the low-income families they serve.
