The Austin Housing Authority announced today that Pathways at Chalmers Courts has received the 2026 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Austin Impact Award for Best Project Design.
ULI Austin presented the award Aug. 26 at the ULI Austin Impact Awards Ceremony & Celebration, held at Austin PBS on the Austin Community College Highland campus. The annual Impact Awards recognize projects and people helping create better places to live, work and gather across Greater Austin.

This week, the Oklahoma City Housing Authority (OCHA) and the City of Oklahoma City were awarded a $25,115,577 grant from the Choice Neighborhoods program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
CLPHA convened the 10 Year Roadmap for Public Housing Sustainability to not only draw attention to the crisis created by the aging infrastructure of America’s public housing portfolio, but also to explore financial tools that can scale to the size of the need to preserve one of America’s most effective safety net platforms. The benefits of revitalizing public housing are numerous, from improved health, education, and life outcomes for millions of public housing residents to stronger neighborhoods and communities.

An organization dedicated to housing Alaskans has purchased more than 600 acres of university land across the state for future residential projects.
Daniel Delfino, with the Alaska Housing Finance Corp., said housing is tight all around Alaska. The idea, he said, is to jump-start development in a way the organization and others hope to replicate in the future.

The U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development’s acting secretary, Adrianne Todman, visited the build site of an Austin affordable housing project Wednesday morning.
The Prospect Heights project is a redevelopment of the former Rosewood Courts, one of the nation’s oldest public housing sites. The development is under the direction of the Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA) and the Austin Habitat for Humanity.
