Rent relief is coming for low-income Jersey City residents (Jersey City Housing Authority)

From the Hudson Reporter:

More than 1,600 low-income households in Jersey City will receive rent relief and utility assistance through the Jersey City COVID-19 Hardship Assistance Program, according to Mayor Steven Fulop and the Jersey City Economic Development Corporation.

According to the city, 95-percent of applicants for the $2.5 million in grant money will be provided to residents in The Heights and southwest sections of the city through local nonprofit partners.

San Antonio Housing Authority, H-E-B Work To Help City Weather The Winter Storm

Lack of water and power has not made weathering the recent winter storm easy in San Antonio.

Some Texans have lost all power, some are without water, and many are lining up outside H-E-Bs across the state to buy food, propane and bottled water.

In 2017, Los Angeles city officials joined with The Michaels Organization and Bridge Housing Corporation to launch the redevelopment of the Jordan Downs public housing complex in Watts.  In the five years that have followed, blocks of 1940s apartment buildings have been demolished, making way for an "urban village" with more than 700 homes, nine acres of park space, and a shopping center known as Freedom Plaza.
