The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) has been selected to participate in HUD’s new Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Mobility Demonstration.
The Council of Large Public Housing Agencies (CLPHA), The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association (PHADA), and the MTW Collaborative are pleased to release our joint funding recommendations for Office of Public and Indian Housing and Office of Housing programs administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for fiscal year 2022.

CLPHA members awardees include: Chester Housing Authority, Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority, Housing Authority of Pittsburgh, Minneapolis Public Housing Authority, New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, and joint awardees the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Development Authority.

Akron’s proposal to bar landlords from discriminating against tenants based on their lawful source of income could make housing accessible for hundreds of Summit County families who have a housing voucher but can’t find a unit, the housing authority told City Council on Monday.

The Housing Authority of Baltimore City announced that it has allocated an additional 50 Housing Choice vouchers to help homeless residents obtain housing.
In a Tuesday news release, the agency wrote that it now offers 900 vouchers annually through the city’s Coordinated Access process, which is designed to assess people’s needs and connect them with appropriate aid for housing and homeless services.
