The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) held a Neighborhood Health Daat its Pueblo Del Rio community in partnership with Cedars Sinai Medical Center and COACH for Kids. The event offered residents free health screenings and promoted healthy living.

The Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino (HACSB) won 42 achievement awardfrom the National Association of Counties (NACo). HACSB earned the awards for its exemplary programs in senior and children services, public health, and literacy encouragement, among other areas.

Fifth Third Bank partnered with the Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) to bring its Financial Empowerment Mobile, or eBus, to LMHA communities to offer residents free financial advice and job-searching services.

HUD awarded the Paterson Housing Authority a nearly $4 million grant through the HUD Capital Fund to renovate and modernize its public housing units. This grant is a 54% increase on its $2.58 million award from last year.

The Yakima Housing Authority will open seasonal housing for migrant farm workers this month. the Cosecha Courts 2 project will house 96 workers in the agriculture-rich Yakima Valley.
