The Voucher Compliance & Reporting Specialist plays a crucial role in upholding the integrity and effectiveness of our Voucher Program. This position is key to ensuring our processes are aligned with both VHA and HUD guidelines, and it offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents. 

At the Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) we work closely with local governments and other community partners throughout Clark County to address issues of affordable housing and homelessness and help families break the cycle of poverty. We provide affordable housing and housing assistance to low-income residents in Clark County.  

Your skills and experience will support our mission as you: 

  • Administer internal audit process to provide timely and consistent oversight of Voucher Program files and procedures ensuring all documents and procedures related to eligibility determination and level of assistance are complete, timely, and accurate as outlined in VHA and HUD guidelines.
  • Create and maintain audit reports outlining targeted versus actual error rates; and create department performance reports.
  • Review, revise, and create forms under the direction of the Voucher Programs Manager and Chief Operating Officer to meet the needs of the department.
  • Prepare PIC and EIV reports/submissions.
  • Prepare and analyze Elite reports to track various items pertaining to the department needs.
  • Create and maintain desk manuals for the positions within the department.
  • Create training plans for the positions within the department.

Pay & Benefits 

  • The starting salary range is $4,128 - $4,450 per month based on experience. In compliance with the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act, the full salary range is $4,128 - $5,814 per month.
  • Full-time, non-exempt, union-represented position working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • Benefits package also includes 9.03% paid into WA PERS by employer, 12 company paid holidays, and generous paid time off accrual.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus some higher-level education or vocational training specializing in office skills and/or housing related subjects plus at least 4 years of directly related experience or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated computer skills necessary to effectively complete duties.
  • AA or BA in Social Service or related field strongly preferred.
  • Previous housing experience desirable.
