Position Summary: Dothan Housing is dedicated to developing and strengthening affordable housing opportunities that embrace practices in a high-value organizational culture. Most recently, DH merged with the Southeast Alabama Coalition for the Homeless (SEACH) and became a HUD-recognized Continuum of Care (CoC). DH provides affordable housing, homeless programs, and services throughout the Wiregrass Metro Area (WMA), including the five counties of Houston, Geneva, Dale, Henry, and Coffee.

As a Moving to Work (MTW) Expansion Agency under the Landlord Incentives Cohort #3, this position, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Fundraising, offers a wealth of opportunities for creativity and innovation. The Marketing Specialist is pivotal in creating content for Dothan Housing (DH) and its instrumentalities, contributing significantly to developing all marketing strategies. The position involves producing high-quality content for websites, social media, marketing materials, videos, podcasts, fundraising, and other printed and digital platforms. The Marketing Specialist also assists the Director of Marketing & Fundraising in implementing and monitoring the Marketing, Rebranding, & Fundraising goals and KPIs of the Purpose 2025 and Purpose 2030 strategic plans.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from a four-year college or university in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, broadcasting, or related fields required.
- Prefer bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, broadcasting, or related fields required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive responsibility in community relations, videography, broadcasting, event planning, social media management, radio, and marketing.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
