Loudoun County is looking for a compassionate, engaged, and forward-thinking leader to serve as the Director of Housing and Community Development. This role will oversee the Department of Housing and Community Development, leading efforts to increase both newly constructed and preserved affordable and attainable housing across the county. The Director will also manage and supervise a skilled 35-member team.
The desired candidate will possess a combination of education and experience equivalent to an advanced degree and at least six years of related experience with increasing responsibility, including two years in a supervisory or management role. This experience should include housing policy development and implementation, program administration, working with government and private sector partners (non-profit, for-profit, and philanthropic), and knowledge of federal, state, and local housing programs.
Loudoun County offers a hiring range of $205,000 - $235,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, the County offers a comprehensive and generous benefits package with multiple group health plan options, dental, vision, and disability; leave benefits including annual leave and sick leave accruals PLUS annual leave equivalent to ten days will be advanced as of date of hire; personal leave equivalent to ten days will be granted as of date of hire; Virginia Retirement System; deferred compensation plan; group life insurance; flexible spending accounts; paid family leave and wellness, education, and other benefits. Relocation expenses may be covered up to $10,000 in accordance with the County’s relocation policy.
