The Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz has an immediate need for its first Development Director to lead its affordable housing initiatives and drive the success of its real estate development projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in affordable housing development, real estate finance, property acquisitions, and exceptional project and construction management skills. They must be ready to dive in on day one to evaluate project opportunities and start developments before year-end, leveraging funding from the Housing Authority's nonprofit organization and other funding sources. Extensive experience in affordable housing development and thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including tenant and landlord laws, fair housing, leasing, building maintenance, repair, and construction, are essential.
