The grand opening for the Loma Linda Veterans Village was held earlier this month. Partners and residents came together to celebrate the opening of 87-units of affordable housing for low-income veterans and their families.

Six buildings at the Milwaukee Soldiers Home, a national historic landmark district, are being rehabilitated into housing for veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Located on the grounds of the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, the project is being led by The Alexander Co. and the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM).
A new joint initiative is helping Cleveland veterans find housing in time for the holidays. Through the Home for the Holidays initiative, the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA), HUD, and the Cleveland VA are coordinating their outreach and resources to quickly find housing for veterans experiencing homelessness before the holiday season.
On November 21 at 12PM ET, CLPHA will co-host a webinar with the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) on FUP vouchers.
On September 20, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) and developer The Alexander Company broke ground on the rehabilitation and restoration of the Milwaukee Soldiers Home, a National Historic Landmark District originally built in 1867 to house Civil War soldiers and help them transition back to civilian life.

The transformation of the former Yakima Armory into housing for homeless and low-income veterans is underway after the Yakima Housing Authority broke ground on the long-awaited project Wednesday.
Yakima Housing Authority Executive Director Lowel Krueger, U.S. Sen. Patty Murray and Yakima veteran Chuck Austin took shovels to the yard of the property at 1702 Tahoma Ave. and turned the soil.

The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) welcomed nearly 300 people to its annual meeting on July 17, to celebrate the “ripples of hope” created throughout its 75 years of providing high quality, affordable housing options, and supportive services to Milwaukee families, seniors, disabled adults, and veterans.
On July 26, HUD issued a notice announcing a new initiative to provide Tenant Protection Vouchers (TPVs) to youth aging out of foster care.
On July 29 and August 6, CLPHA co-hosted webinars with the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) on the Mainstream Voucher Program. The July 29 webinar, for CLPHA members only, covered the recent Mainstream Voucher NOFA that is due on September 5th.
