CLPHA’s Housing Is Initiative Receives CSH Funding to Support the Expansion and Stabilization of Housing Opportunities for Populations Most At-Risk of Housing Insecurity

CLPHA is pleased to announce that our Housing Is Initiative has received funding from the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) to help us guide and assist public housing authorities (PHAs) in their efforts to expand and stabilize housing opportunities for some of our nation’s most vulnerable individuals.

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in partnership with the NYU Furman Center, will host a hybrid event on the development of affordable housing on land owned by faith-based organizations.

In Memoriam: Marcia Lewis

September 7, 1958 – February 4, 2024

CLPHA is saddened to share that Marcia Lewis, former CEO of the Indianapolis Housing Agency, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Marcia was an important leader in our CLPHA community and we extend our deepest condolences to her loved ones on their loss. See more information about how to send condolences here.

HUD Announces Expansion, Restructuring of ConnectHome USA

In a recent Federal Register notice, HUD announced the expansion and restructuring of ConnectHomeUSA (CHUSA) in order to to further their commitment to advancing digital opportunities and closing the digital divide in public, Indian, and now, Multifamily housing communities. CHUSA seeks to serve 50-100 new communities from urban and rural and Tribal locations while also continuing to support existing CHUSA communities.  New communities can apply to join as Tier 1 communities and existing CHUSA communities can apply to join as Tier 2, or more advanced communities.
