HUD Expands Access to HUD-VASH for Veterans
Today, HUD announced policy changes to the VASH program aimed at improving access to housing opportunities for veterans with service-connected disability benefits. HUD is expanding access to HUD-VASH by requiring PHAs to set initial income eligibility for veterans at 80% of AMI, rather than 50% of AMI.

Today, the Senate failed to advance H.R. 7024, The Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act of 2024. With a final vote of 48-44, the Senate needed a three-fifths majority, or 60 votes, to end debate (a procedure known as cloture) and bring the legislation to an immediate vote on the Senate floor.
