Webinar: Identifying Expiring Affordable Homes with the National Housing Preservation Database (PAHRC & NLIHC)

Date & time:
Tuesday, December 12, 2017 - 5:00 am UTC
In the next five years, nearly 500,000 federally-assisted apartments and rental homes will reach the end of their current subsidy contracts and affordability restrictions for low-income families, according to new data from the National Housing Preservation Database (NHPD). While many of these homes will remain in the affordable housing stock, others could be permanently lost. New NHPD features make it easier than ever to identify properties at risk of loss. An enhanced mapping tool allows users to pinpoint publicly-assisted properties of interest, and the NHPD now provides more property information, including bedroom unit mix, census tract, and target tenant type, which expands the number of risk factors available to users; and offers new preservation profiles with the number of units at risk of loss in each state. Join the Public and Affordable Housing Research Corporation (PAHRC) and the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) for our webinar, “Identifying Expiring Affordable Homes with the National Housing Preservation Database,” on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST.
