In this pivotal role, you will lead financial strategies and oversight for our construction and development projects, playing a key part in shaping sustainable, thriving communities across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial oversight for development-phase and construction projects
- Develop long-term financial strategies and structure complex financing models
- Collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in financial planning and reporting
- Guide Development Analysts through the underwriting and funding process
- Negotiate terms with lenders, investors, and development partners
- Review and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and operating proformas
- Monitor and ensure compliance with reserve accounts, capital expenditures, and lender requirements
- Maintain strong professional relationships with external auditors, attorneys, and financial partners
- Drive innovation and efficiency in financial operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of senior-level experience in finance, banking, or accounting regulated by GAAP and IRS standards
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, underwriting, and development finance
Preferred:
- Master’s degree, CPA, or CFA certification.
- Experience with HUD financial reporting standards.
- Certification such as the National Development Council’s Rental Housing Development Finance Professional (RHDFP).
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and accounting platforms (e.g., Yardi, Oracle, SAP).
