HUD Funding to Continue at FY23 Levels On Saturday, September 30, Congress averted a federal government shutdown by passing a Continuing Resolution that funded the government on a short-term basis until November 17. HUD will continue to operate under FY 2023 appropriation levels.

On July 18, 2023, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations held a full committee markup of the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) Transportation, and Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) appropriations bill. The measure was passed by the full committee on a party-line vote of 34-27 with all Republicans voting for and all Democrats voting against.
