The Afterschool Meal Program is an important source of federal funding to provide children a supper and a snack at after school programs. The Afterschool Meal Program became available in every state in 2010, and national participation has grown from about 200,000 children in October 2011 to nearly 1.1 million in October 2016. There is still much room to grow in every state. Join this webinar to learn the basics of the Afterschool Meal Program basics as well as tips and tricks for establishing successful programs – including working with school districts, moving from snacks to suppers, and tapping into existing afterschool program funding. Participants will leave this webinar with the resources and knowledge needed to launch an afterschool meal program that reduces childhood hunger and draws children into quality programming.
