A Conversation with Youth: Education, Resilience, Homelessness, and Hope

This powerful briefing will offer an exceptional look at the issues, including: • A facilitated discussion among fourteen youth from across the country who have experienced homelessness. The youth will discuss the challenges they experienced in their education from preK through postsecondary, as well as the people, programs, and personal strengths that have helped them persist and achieve success. • Youth from Alaska, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Missouri, Montana, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington state will participate in the discussion. The youth are part of SchoolHouse Connection's Youth Leadership and Scholarship Program.
