The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) Division of Housing (DOH) awarded $4.47M through the Colorado State Housing Board (SHB) for affordable housing in September.
DOLA also so far has supplied over $7.49M to renters and landlords across Colorado through the EHAP and POP programs since Governor Jared Polis signed Executive Order 70 in May and HB1410 in June, authorizing DOH to provide up to $29.65M in COVID-19-related housing payment relief.

Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) Executive Director Brian Gage participated in Northeastern Ohio radio and multimedia news source ideastream’s The Sound of Ideas Community Tour to discuss AMHA’s efforts to decrease evictions among residents and voucher holders. The tour’s Akron stop, recorded for radio in front a of a live audience, consisted of panels featuring local experts and stakeholders that discussed Akron’s eviction rate and strategies to reduce it.
On January 14 at 10:00 a.m. ET, the House Committees on Financial Services and Veterans Affairs will each hold hearings on critical housing assistance issues.
