The Housing Authority is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to oversee and lead the daily operations of a large and diverse affordable housing portfolio, including Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8), Public Housing, Affordable Housing, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs.
This leadership position reports directly to the Executive Director/CEO and plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and strategic program growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Finance, or a closely related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and significant related experience will be considered.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative and management experience, including at least five (5) years at the senior or executive management level.
Extensive knowledge of:
Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Programs
Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Programs
Affordable Housing Management
Project-Based Vouchers (PBV)
Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD)
HUD rules and regulations
Knowledge of Florida Housing regulations.
Strong financial, operational, and strategic planning experience preferred.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
Strong computer skills including knowledge of Yardi
