REAC Details Resident Feedback Collection on NSPIRE

Date Published:
September 6th, 2023

PIH Notice 2023-24 outlines how resident feedback collection on inspections conducted under NSPIRE will be collected. Anonymous feedback will be collected from residents whose units undergo an inspection under NSPIRE on a voluntary basis. HUD’s federal inspectors will leave survey flyers in units after performing an inspection.

The survey is largely based on a 5-point ‘Likert Scale’ where residents are asked to evaluate their experiences based on a simple 5-choice response scale. It should take residents no more than five minutes to complete the survey. The results of the resident feedback surveys will not be scored.
