HUD has awarded a third tranche of 3,379 Stability Vouchers (SV) worth $45 million to 135 PHAs and their partnering Continuums of Care (CoCs). The full list of PHAs to receive funding is available here. Among the awardees are 20 CLPHA members. This third tranche of Stability Vouchers follows the second tranche of 62 CoC communities that received $486 million in grants announced on April 17, 2023.
HUD published Notice PIH 2022-24: Stability Voucher Program on August 16, 2022, which described the Registration of Interest process and SV operational requirements, including optional waivers. The Registration of Interest closed on October 20, 2022, with 367 PHAs registering interest. Of these, 139 PHAs were deemed eligible. HUD gave first priority to PHAs that formally partnered with CoCs in responding to HUD’s Special Notice of Funding Opportunity to Address Unsheltered and Rural Homelessness.
