Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grants Available to PHAs; Applications due May 30

The Joint Office of Energy and Transportation is accepting applications for Charging and Fueling Discretionary Infrastructure (CFI) Grants, a new $2.5 billion program from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to fund electric vehicle charging and alternative-fueling infrastructure. The Federal Highway Administration has published a helpful Program Questions and Answers document.

This NOFO offers up to $700 million from Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023 to strategically deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and other alternative fueling infrastructure projects in urban and rural communities in publicly accessible locations. Housing authorities are eligible applicants.

Applications must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov no later than Tuesday, May 30, 2023. More information can also be found on the Joint DOE/DOT Office webpage.
