The White House, the U. S. Treasury and Housing and Urban Development Departments recently announced two new sites: childtaxcredit.gov and getyourrefund.org, both free IRS-certified tax filing resources, that explain to connect with IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program centers. The sites also offer resources and toolkits to help advocates share this information with their communities.

Due to eligibility changes in the American Rescue Plan for the 2020 tax year, your residents may see an increased refund. You can provide a valuable resident service by sharing this critical tax information them. HUD has created a website with the latest information on the CTC and EITC. Cross-sector efforts such as this offer residents more opportunities for economic success.
