Date Published:
December 7th, 2022

CLPHA has signed on to a letter commenting on the design of EPA’s new Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund in partnership with the Preservation Working Group (PWG). The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund provides $27 billion to the EPA for expenditure until September 30, 2024.

These funds will be for competitive grants to enable low-income and disadvantaged communities to deploy or benefit from zero-emission technologies, including distributed technologies on residential rooftops. Funds could be used for any technology that produces zero emissions of criteria air pollutants and any technology that produces zero emissions of greenhouse gases.

Funds are not yet available, and applications are not being accepted at this time. The mechanisms by which applications will be received and funding will be awarded have not yet been determined. CLPHA will send an update as soon as new information is available.
