The National Civic League is now accepting applications for the 2022 All-America City awards! Co-convened with the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, the 2022 theme is “Housing as a Platform to Promote Early School Success and Equitable Learning Recovery.” Since 1949, over 500 communities have received All-America City (AAC) designations for their outstanding civic accomplishments. The 2022 awards will feature how affordable housing partners can advance measurable improvement in one or more of seven areas of focus to support children and families around early learning outcomes.
Applications are due March 1. However, due to the competing priorities communities are facing, NCL and GLR are offering up to a one-week extension on the original application deadline of March 1. To take advantage of the extension (March 8), you must notify them via email (aac22@ncl.org) or by calling 571-512-2379.
Finalists will be announced in early May and will be invited to assemble a community team to present at a virtual juried event in July, where the 2022 AAC winners will be announced. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to lift up the critical importance of affordable housing and to celebrate the collaborations and partnerships in your community. Please visit the AAC page to learn more about this opportunity and to download the application, or email aac22@ncl.org with any questions.
CLPHA hopes to have your community and its housing partners among the applicants!
