As you may know, CLPHA partners with the National Summer Learning Association on issues intersecting housing with out-of-school time opportunities. NSLA is holding their Summer Changes Everything national conference, hosted in-person November 8-10 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC, following these health and safety protocols.
We are excited that NSLA has been making housing an intentional part of their platform, and we wanted to invite you or any other staff to participate in a special pre-conference session co-hosted by CLPHA focused on housing on Monday November 8, from 8:30-12:00 pm ET. There is also a possibility for your organization to speak if you are interested in that opportunity.
View a flyer for the pre-conference for more details.
The goal is to have participants join in-person, but if you are very interested in this opportunity to be part of the professional summer learning community and are only able to join virtually, please contact Emily Samose to share your interest and your availability and she will follow-up as soon as possible with more information about possibilities to join remotely.
The session will be a chance to get together across cities and share key learnings about summer learning programs and partnerships—especially from the past two years and what has emerged from our work to pivot during the pandemic. There will be a mix of speakers and time for peer discussion.
Attending this session is completely free. If you want to attend the rest of the conference, NSLA will give you a special registration price.
