CDC Extends Eviction Moratorium to October 3, 2021

CLPHA Will Press for Expedited ERAP Application Process

The Center for Disease Control has extended the eviction moratorium in areas with rapidly increasing COVID infections for 60 days from August 3, 2021 to October 3, 2021.

Throughout the pandemic, we know our members have been committed to using every tool available to prevent evictions. The latest extension of the moratorium allows our members another 60 days to access Emergency Rental Assistance Program funds (ERAP) to help prevent any evictions. During this extension period, CLPHA will continue to advocate to the Congress and the administration to expedite the application process for ERAP resources and to swiftly distribute the ERAP funds to eligible tenants and landlords.

For more information about the moratorium or ERAP applications and/or distribution process, please contact Janelle Beverly at jbeverly@clpha.org or Joshua Shokoor at jshokoor@clpha.org
