  • Trump Budget Calls for 15% Decrease in HUD Funding, Large Cuts to Public Housing: On February 10, the Trump Administration released its fiscal year 2021 Budget Proposal, which includes a $41.3 billion request for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, a 15 percent reduction from enacted FY 2020.   • Survey: Voucher Program Administration: CLPHA is surveying our membership about their voucher program operations to aggregate and share with PHAs interested in learning about best practices for voucher program management. Read more and fill out the survey.
  • CLPHA Members: Application Open for Postsecondary Leadership Cohort: CLPHA, through its Housing Is Initiative and with support from the Kresge Foundation, is establishing a leadership institute for a cohort of public housing authorities and their partners who demonstrate the experience and capacity for postsecondary collaboration. This opportunity will support the creation and strengthening of existing postsecondary initiatives for housing authority residents that leverage the capacity, resources, and expertise of CLPHA, its member public housing authorities (PHAs), and postsecondary partners such as community colleges and nonprofit organizations.
