Open Broadband is pleased to announce that high speed broadband is now available in the Grantham area of Wayne County. The service went live on Friday, October 9th, and those who signed up for service are now being scheduled for installation.
This means that another large segment of Wayne County now has access to reliable high-speed internet service. While access to dependable internet service has always been a need in under-served rural areas of North Carolina, the COVID 19 pandemic has made it a necessity. With large numbers of people been forced to work from home and students having to access remote learning, high speed internet in a must.
Open Broadband continues to add new customers in Wayne and Duplin Counties as they respond to the demand created by the pandemic. Additional projects include:

Open Broadband started deploying free public Wi-Fi to the Goldsboro Housing Authority neighborhoods with all of them to be complete by the end of the year.
