Todd Thomas Named HUD’s Director of the Office of Public Housing Programs

CLPHA congratulates Todd Thomas on his new role as HUD’s Director of the Office of Public Housing Programs (OPHP). Effective Monday, October 7, Thomas will lead and manage the OPHP’s Financial Management Division, Management and Occupancy Division, and the Energy Management Center, where he will guide policy development, program operations, financial analysis, process implementation, as well as supervise the monitoring of public housing programs, initiatives, and staff.

Thomas has worked in various roles at HUD’s Office of Public & Indian Housing since 2011, including as Senior Housing Program Specialist, Policy Advisor, Acting Director of the Public Housing Management and Occupancy Division, and Acting Director of the Office of Public Housing Programs. Prior to HUD, he was CLPHA’s Senior Research and Policy Analyst for five years, where he focused on public housing, repositioning, and the economic impact of assisted housing programs. CLPHA looks forward to working with Mr. Thomas in his new role.
