Seattle Housing Authority Board Approves Plan to Purchase up to 500 Units

The Seattle Housing Authority’s (SHA) Board of Commissioners approved the housing authority’s plan to purchase up to 500 units to add to SHA’s housing inventory for low-income individuals and families. SHA is moving forward with plans to purchase four existing apartment complexes across the Seattle area that will add 331 units to their housing portfolio. Current residents of these communities will not have to move or pay higher rents due to SHA’s purchase, and some residents may experience lower rents based on their household incomes.
