The CLPHA family mourns the passing of Shauna Sorrells, a deeply committed affordable housing professional. Shauna passed away unexpectedly last month. Shauna served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOCMC), and before that she was HOCMC’s Director of Legislative and Public Affairs. Prior to that, she was HUD’s Director of the Office of Public Housing Programs. CLPHA extends our heartfelt condolences to her family.
Memorial services for Shauna will be held on Friday, October 25, 11:00 AM, at Unity DC (1225 R St. NW, Washington, DC 20009). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrf.org) in the name of her mother, Patricia A. Morgan.
