Advocacy is everyone's job and it is essential to the children and communities we serve. Join CLPHA’s Education Working Group on Tuesday, April 9, 2:00-3:00pm ET to learn about advocacy efforts to build support and investment in housing.
Representatives from Partnership for Children and Youth (PCY) – a California-based advocacy organization that promotes and supports learning opportunities for underserved students – will discuss strategies for providing, sustaining, and increasing access to Out-of-School-Time services in housing. PCY will also touch on a range of advocacy strategies and preliminary results from the Save After School Campaign in California. Join us to learn about and explore ideas on how you, your organization, and your partners, can take action.
Webinar objectives:
- Deepen understanding of what advocacy is and why housing authorities and local partners should be involved
- Provide case study examples of advocacy strategies to build support and investment in Out-of-School-Time programs, including:
- Identifying key talking pints and messaging
- Activating your community
- Engaging local and state policymakers
This webinar is open to CLPHA members and the general public.
