Celebrating Re-Opening of Pueblo Del Rio Youth Center (Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles)

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA), together with its partners and residents celebrated the grand re-opening of the Pueblo Del Rio Youth Center, also known as the Alba Center. Guests enjoyed corndogs, popcorn and freshly grilled vegetable snacks provided by Root Down LA.  

Pueblo Del Rio Youth Center is run by LAPD’s Newton Division, Community Youth Activities League, which services youth between the ages of 9-16. The Youth Center offers a wide variety of programs, including the Pueblo United football team, homework club, Zumba classes, boxing, healthy lifestyle classes, iron fit, LA street art, sewing and much more. Pueblo Del Rio youth also participate in field trips, movie nights, and other recreational activities co-sponsored by Community Safety Partnership (CSP) Program, LAPD Newton Division, Soledad Enrichment Action, GRYD Foundation, as well as other on-site service providers.
