From the West Side Leader:

Members of the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority Board (AMHA)... was recently granted affordable housing accreditation through 2022 by the Affordable Housing Accreditation Board Inc.

AMHA officials said the accreditation was based on a peer review of AMHA’s accreditation application addressing the 2017-18 Accreditation Standards, a site visit report and AMHA’s response to the site visit report. The evaluation process scrutinized AMHA’s governance, financial management, operational performance, organizational compliance, executive leadership team, community engagement and improvement, quality of life for residents and customer service to determine that AMHA met the high quality standards that inspire public confidence in communities, dignity for residents and innovative public-private collaboration that enables cities to thrive, according to AMHA officials.
