CLPHA is pleased to announce our Housing Is Initiative has been awarded a two-year grant from the Funders for Housing and Opportunity (FHO). This national funder collaborative is comprised of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Ford Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the JPB Foundation, the Kresge Foundation, the John A. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the Melville Charitable Trust, and the Oak Foundation. These nine foundations are working together to support their shared vision that all renters, regardless of income, can afford safe, stable housing in communities that support better health, economic mobility, and educational achievement. Like Housing Is, FHO believes that housing is a platform for achieving better life outcomes. The funding will support core Housing Is activities such as our upcoming 2019 Housing Is Summit, our education webinar series, our online clearinghouse housingis.org, and creating new and strengthening existing strategic partnerships across sectors.
